The challenge.
I invest through several platforms to spread my risk. This left my financial data scattered, with no single clear picture of my total wealth and portfolio allocation. Wealth Hub grew out of that problem.
From challenge to software.
Wealth Hub automatically retrieves data through several API integrations and brings it together in one place. The backend processes and normalises the data, and the Flutter app presents my portfolio clearly.
My role
I designed and developed Wealth Hub entirely myself, from the backend, database and API integrations to the Flutter interface.

Connecting the parts.
The backend is built with FastAPI and handles integrations with external financial platforms. PostgreSQL stores normalised portfolio data, while SQLAlchemy connects the application to the database. The Flutter client uses the REST API to make the same data available across devices.

Technical challenges
The biggest challenge is combining platforms that each have different data structures, limitations and API rules. I built a separate integration layer for each platform, then converted its data into a single internal model.
What I learned.
This project has taught me a lot about API integrations, data normalisation, database design and reliable processing of financial data.
